Our leadership team at Bunbury City Church has consistently demonstrated their unconditional support for the past years. They have been a pillar of strength for our Senior Pastor, Dr. Leisa Blottin, providing her with the necessary guidance and encouragement to fulfill her ministry effectively. Additionally, the team offers pastoral support to our congregation, ensuring that everyone feels loved and cared for. The intercessory prayer team fervently lifts up our church and its members in prayer, seeking God's wisdom and intervention in all aspects of our lives.

Moreover, the wisdom and insight of our board members have been invaluable in making crucial decisions and steering the church towards growth and prosperity. Lastly, our music director's talent and dedication have enhanced our worship experience, allowing us to connect with God on a deeper level. Meet the Team

Senior Minister

Dr Leisa Blottin

Dr. Leisa Blottin is an exceptionally qualified and experienced senior minister at Bunbury City Church. Her journey in ministry started in 1973 when she became a born-again Christian. Since then, she has dedicated her life to serving the church and its community.

In 1976, Dr. Blottin took on the role of a youth leader, where she nurtured and guided young individuals in their faith journey. Recognizing her passion for connecting with people, she started a Home fellowship specifically for French-speaking individuals in 1978.

In 1981, Dr. Blottin moved to Bunbury and played a crucial role in pioneering the Lighthouse Family Church, which later became an AOG church. During her time there, she also served as a Sunday school teacher, treasurer, and an integral part of the pastoral team.

With a deep commitment to spreading the Gospel beyond borders, Dr. Blottin was appointed as the foreign mission field coordinator from 1981 to 1992. In this capacity, she traveled extensively throughout Europe, bringing hope and faith to diverse communities.

Continuing her pursuit of knowledge and growth, Dr. Blottin lectured at a Bible school in India in 1989 and taught French at the University of Bangkok. That same year, she studied for two years with the Lighthouse World Outreach Ministry Center, Inc. AOG, where she graduated with a certificate of achievement.

In 1990, Dr. Blottin engaged in the Walk Through the Bible ministry, focusing on developing building excellence and teaching communication skills. Additionally, she conducted a seminar on the seven laws of the learner with Lay Leadership International Asia. These experiences further enriched her ability to serve and connect with others.

Recognizing her dedication and leadership abilities, Dr. Blottin was ordained as a Pastor with the Assemblies of God in 1991. She took on the responsibility of women's ministry, pastoral care and missions, and also served as the director for God's Way Ministry Australia AOG. To this day, she remains registered as an advisor for this organization.

In 1993, Dr. Blottin worked with the Secours Populaire Francais in France as a Pastor and missionary, further expanding her global impact. In 1994, she returned to Australia and joined the Ministry team of Harbour City Church, where she assumed the role of an elder and the Pastor of the women's ministry.

Dr. Leisa Blottin's extensive qualifications, vast experience, and unwavering dedication make her an invaluable asset to Bunbury City Church. Her passion for serving others and spreading the message of love and faith is evident in her remarkable journey.

Chris & Bettina Welham

Associate Pastor Chris Profile

Greetings! It has been a great honor for both myself and my beloved wife, Bettina, to serve alongside Pastor Leisa since 1997. Throughout the years, we have engaged in various areas of ministry within the church. These include leading and participating in praise and worship, facilitating prayer meetings, delivering sermons, conducting Bible studies, organizing men's breakfasts, overseeing financial recordkeeping, and serving on the church Board and in general administration.

My deep love for God and His people drives my commitment to support Pastor Leisa's vision for the church. I am passionate about seeing the larger body of Christ come together in unity, love, and the sharing of their unique ministry gifts with one another. It is my heart's desire to witness every church member finding their true church home—a place where friendships are built, Jesus is faithfully served, and personal growth in the knowledge of God's Word is nurtured. I firmly believe in the importance of being led by the Spirit of God, operating in the individual gifts that He has bestowed upon each person, and actively reaching out to our community with the life-transforming message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Furthermore, I find great joy in witnessing families worshiping together. My wife and I cherish our four children, their spouses (two of whom), and our five grandchildren. They are a true blessing in our lives.

Chris & Bettina Welham

Associate Pastor Bettina Profile

Hello there! It brings me immense joy to have served alongside my husband, Chris, under the leadership of Pastor Leisa since 1997. My passion lies in providing practical assistance to people and wholeheartedly supporting both Pastor Leisa and the church in any way I can.

Within the church, I am actively involved in women's ministry and serve as a member of the praise and worship team. Additionally, I find great fulfillment in contributing to the administrative aspects of the church, such as maintaining electronic song files and organizing gatherings that foster social interaction among the church family. I have a deep desire to bring joy and love into the lives of those around me, particularly supporting and uplifting the mothers and their families within our congregation.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me and my heart for serving in the church. I am dedicated to continuing my role as an Associate Pastor, bringing a spirit of love, support, and practical assistance to all those in our church community.

Board Member and Church Intercessor

Cynthia McLellan

It is a great honor for me to serve as the intercessor of our church. One of my deepest desires is to intercede for the church and the body of Christ, standing in the gap and praying fervently on behalf of others.

My journey with Bunbury City Church spans approximately 15 years, during which I have had the privilege of witnessing the growth and transformation of our community. For the past 5 years, I have also been actively involved in serving on the board, where I have been able to contribute my insights and support the church's mission.

I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given to serve and be a part of this wonderful church family. My commitment to intercession and dedication to the well-being of our church community remains steadfast. I look forward to continuing this journey of faith and service together with you all.

Margaret Wood

I have been an integral part of the church since its inception. Initially, I served on the music team until there were enough members to continue without me. Additionally, I dedicated many years to leading the women's study group, fostering growth and connection among the women in our church community.

Currently, I am honored to hold a position as one of the board members of the church. I actively contribute and offer my assistance wherever it is needed. My commitment to the church and its mission remains unwavering, and I am always ready to lend a helping hand.

Keith Wall

I have had the privilege of being a part of the incredible Bunbury City Church for the past five years. Prior to that, I served as a pastor in Mandurah for a remarkable 25 years. It has been an honor to be a part of Bunbury City Church and to also serve as one of the board members. My wife, Kathleen, and I minister regularly at the church, sharing the teachings of the Bible and supporting the congregation in their spiritual journeys.

Having spent 25 years in pastoral ministry in Mandurah, I have gained invaluable experience and built strong relationships with the community there. In 2018, I made the decision to transition to Bunbury City Church and have been blessed to be a part of its vibrant and thriving community.

Being a board member allows me to contribute to the church's growth and development, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve in this capacity. Kathleen and I are committed to ministering to the congregation, providing guidance, and supporting them in their faith.

Overall, it is an immense privilege to be a part of Bunbury City Church, and I am excited to continue serving and ministering to the wonderful members of our congregation.

Greetings my name is Erina Te Wano, I acknowledge my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ my Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit as my source my Everything. I gave my heart to the Lord and have been a Kingdom Citizen for 35 years of which I have been Worship Leading for 30 years.
